GLBL 110. Introduction to Global Studies. 3 Credits.
An interdisciplinary course which introduces students to a variety of global topics, concepts, and perspectives.
GLBL 311. Global to Personal Wellbeing. 3 Credits.
This course will take a sociological approach to understand how people use and act within their environment, in both nature and urban settings and how this impacts their own wellness practices. Students will learn how to incorporate wellbeing practices into their academic, personal, and professional lives. Global experience will be a required component of this course.
GLBL 330. Globalization and the Digital Age. 3 Credits.
This course will explore how new tools and capabilities in the digital revolution have impacted all aspects of global society.
The course will focus on the causes and impacts of the digital divide, the effects of digital culture on the individual and society, as well as the ways in which institutions and global systems are operating and transforming in this era. It will examine both the challenges and opportunities presented in education, labor, security, and safety. Additionally, it will look at the psychological, socio-cultural, and environmental impact of digital life and social media globally.
GLBL 379. Global Seminar. 1-6 Credits.
NDSU instructed experience or field study in a foreign country. Conducted in English for residence credit. Pre-requisite: Prior approval by International Student and Study Abroad Services and major department. May be repeated. Standard Grading.

GLBL 397. Fe/Coop Ed/Internship. 1-15 Credits.
GLBL 401. Life and Politics of US-Mexico Borderlands. 3 Credits.
This course is designed to help students access a greater understanding of the political and cultural realities of the US-Mexico Borderlands through academic texts, literature, pop culture, and history. This is a reading intensive course.
GLBL 411. Global Learning. 1 Credit.
Development of independent thought and action, identity and values, and intercultural awareness and skills as a global citizen in conjunction with a Global Practicum, international internship, or other abroad program.
May be repeated for credit.
Prereq or coreq: Prior approval by International Student and Study Abroad Services.
GLBL 492. Global Practicum: Study Abroad. 1-15 Credits.
Pre-Arranged study at accredited foreign institutions (study abroad), domestic institutions (National Student Exchange) or on approved study abroad programs. Pre-requisite: Sophomore standing and prior approval by International Student and Study Abroad Services and major department. Graded 'P'or 'F' (Undergraduate), or 'S' or 'U' (Graduate).
