SCM 435. Transportation & Distribution. 3 Credits.
This course offers a comprehensive overview of transportation and warehouse management as core components of supply chain operations. Students will examine key transportation modes - motor carriers, railroads, airlines, and water carriers - and explore how they interact within an integrated logistics network. The course also addresses essential topics for managing both domestic and global supply chains, including third-party logistics, transportation risk management, distribution channel design, and warehouse processes.
Prereq: SCM 320.
Prereq or Coreq: Restricted to College of Business major, minor, or certificate and a 2.50 minimum NDSU grade point average.
