This course explores strategies for designing and implementing educational experiences outside traditional classroom settings. Students will learn how to engage diverse audiences through interactive methods, adapt content to learners' needs, and evaluate program effectiveness. Concepts of stability of equilibrium; stability criteria, work, energy and variational methods; elastic buckling of columns, beams, frames, and plates; FE implementations of stability; design of locally unstable sections. {Also offered for undergraduate credit - see CE 447.}.
