ENTR 442. Startup Funding. 3 Credits.

This course immerses students in the entrepreneurial process with a focus on understanding how new ventures are financed and scaled. Through hands-on experience, students will progress from idea development to prototyping while learning the fundamentals of startup funding, including investor relations, venture capital, and fundraising strategy. The course emphasizes building entrepreneurial networks, crafting compelling pitches, and navigating the realities of securing early-stage capital. By the end of the course, students will have practical experience in advancing a venture toward its first sale or investment. Prereq: ENTR 201 or MGMT 470.
